Our story
MAKALE is a family project with a simple aim: to bring you womenswear that is timeless, high quality and carefully crafted. We source directly from Latin America's most compelling labels, beginning with Colombia.
What guides us
-
Two languages, one design
Latin America gives us warmth, color and craft, a design tradition we've come to know intimately. Europe is our home base, giving us structure and sophistication. Together, we select pieces that speak both languages.
-
Essentials, elevated
We curate for longevity, looking for clean lines and thoughtful details. Our focus is on fewer, better pieces, chosen to be worn often rather than just once. Every piece we select reflects that same balance of warmth and structure.
-
A promise of quality
We prioritize labels that work with natural fabrics and responsible materials. We look for careful construction and fits that flatter, so every piece we bring you earns a special place in your wardrobe.
How we curate
We favor labels that use honest materials and heritage techniques, applied with contemporary methods.
Craftsmanship is a key element of what we look for, whether that means hand-finished seams, embroidery, subtle weaving, or simply construction built to last.
Why a bridge
We live between Mexico and Germany, but are Colombian at heart. Our bridge symbol reflects that connection: an intention to bridge people, places, and creative practices, bringing garments that inspire from one side to the other.
Our values
Quality, structure and craft are what we value most. We curate responsibly, favoring fewer pieces made well. Our collection welcomes Latin American labels, beginning with Colombia, that innovate to improve comfort, durability and care. This is how we honor our roots: garments made with real craft, built to last.
